Department: Foundry - Quality Assurance

Job Title: Head - QA

Job Grade: Senior Manager / AGM

Overall Purpose of Job:

He/ she shall be responsible for developing quality system for an advanced DISAMATIC foundry to meet day to day requirements of the customers and to ensure activities are run to program, budget and meet the company's requirements & target.

Main Activity/ Tasks :

- To co-ordinate the daily operation of foundry personnel jointly with Head - Production and Head - Maintenance so as to provide a safe, secure and efficient working environment

- To handle Quality Issues i.e. identifying Non conformities, analyzing the data, carrying out Root Cause analysis, CAPA

- Lead activities and output of Metallurgy Lab, Sand Testing Lab, Chemistry Lab

- To perform Product and Process audit independently

- To handle customer complaints-Tracking, Records and closure

- To evaluate method of inspection, use of instrument according to engineering drawing

- To prepare PDI Report, Upload the same on Customer's Portal, Layout Inspection, Updating documents like Control Plan, FMEA

- To manage and direct a team of skilled and technical person through sound personnel practices such as, regular performance appraisal

- To identify training needs for his/ her team and mentoring them

Special Requirements:

Knowledge of Internal Quality Audit, Product and Process Audit, CAPA, SQC, Quality Standards

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge about systems (IMS, TS 16949:2009, TPM, 5S etc)

- Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, OHSAS requirements

- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools

- Good overall awareness of occupation health and safety

- Leadership Skills

Education, Qualification and Special Training: B. E/ B. Tech/ M. E/ M. Tech (Metallurgy/Mechanical/NIFT) M. Sc (Chemistry)

Experience: 7 to 15 years experience in Mechanized DISAMATIC foundry (Experience in Casting & Machining will be an added advantage)
