Senior Manager/AGM - Due Diligence - Equity Investments - Real Estate Sector

Reporting to: Head - Due Diligence

Experience Level: 7 - 10 years

Academic Qualification: MBA, MFC, CA

Job responsibilities :

- Due Diligence for Real Estate

- Research trends of property markets across major locations in India

- Undertake project site visits to understand the micro market, and project related inventory, construction, and pricing

- Undertake research (secondary), through brokers, property portals to get the pricing / saleability / future prospects of the projects

- Adept in both residential and commercial real estate

- Due Diligence for Equity Investments

- Review the information Memorandum of the prospective investees

- Understand the industry / business of the prospective investee companies

- Review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet etc) and create financial models (DCF / Market Multiples / Transaction Multiples)

 - Research on companies information using secondary sources and MCA / ROC

- Understanding of legal terms / terms sheets / investment agreements

- Reporting on existing portfolio; suggesting trends to make informed investing and liquidating decisions

Prior Role (s)/ Work Experience Preferred :

- Understanding of financial statements / valuation methodologies

- Understanding of financial terms in contracts

- Understanding of legal clauses

- Highly analytical skills and excellent in research

- Good PowerPoint / presentation skills

- Networking across real estate community (IPCs, Developers, Bankers, Brokers etc.)

- End-to-end investing transaction experience

- Excellent oral and written skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders

- Self Starter and individual contributor
