Senior Manager - Accounts & Finance - Manufacturing/Automobile/Construction Business (5-7 yrs)

Sr. Manager Accounts & Finance Mumbai

Responsibilities:

Account &Finance:

- Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, expense reporting, payroll processing, Material reconciliation, monthly reconciliation, provisioning and monthly and year-end closing.

- Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company for optimum utilization of Sanctioned Limits, day-to-day correspondence with banks, ensuring the appropriate treasury controls and the present & future requirement of company's banking/ borrowing needs.

- Arranging funds for working capital from banks/FI and complying all the Financial Covenant requirements, periodic statements Viz. CMA, Monthly Hypothecation statement, QPR etc.

- Preparing and interacting with rating agencies viz. Crisil/ ICRA to get the ratings for the company.

- Monitoring the working capital needs, arrest blockages of funds in working capital to ensure optimum utilization of resources.

- Cover the Risk by ensuring proper Insurance cover to avoid all possible future losses at the lowest possible costs (cost of Insurance cover).

- Monitoring forex transactions to find hedging requirements & hedging as per the company policy to minimize the forex losses & suggest changes if any required in the Hedging Policy based on the current situation.

- To plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of effective accounting and financial administration policies, procedures and reports to ensure meticulous compliance of financial policy for sound financial management and control.

- Review and manage internal systems, controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, compliance, corporate governance and usefulness of financial information and reporting.

- Ensure the proper pricing mechanism & good credit control.

- To prepare, present and interpret financial reports to the management (MIS) with detailed variance analysis & Financials Monthly, yearly as required by Company's Act for Board of Directors, shareholders and government authorities.

- To participate in the strategic planning process, lead the budgeting and forecasting to build a strong financial discipline and accountability foundation for budgeting and forecasting and have a strict budgetary control.

- Lead the design and assessment of financial strategy and performance as it relates to managing against the annual budget and long-term goals for organizational effectiveness and sustainability.

- To ensure control on all the units to keep the inter unit transactions updated and reconciled.

Audit:

- To prepare Financials as per the guidelines of the Companies Act to comply all the necessary requirements &interact with Internal/ Statutory auditors to get it audited without any adverse comment & present it for approval of Audit Committee

- Review the findings and recommendations made by the internal & external auditors& take necessary steps to improve upon.

- Meet the requirements of the regulatory authority regarding internal control, compliance and internal audit; provide suitable directions and leadership to the team; ensure compliance to statutory audit & IFC.

Taxation :

- Ensure Direct & Indirect tax compliances, Computing, Filings, Reporting and Returns (Income Tax, TDS, TCS, GST, Transfer Pricing etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.

- Ensuring compliance including timely payment, assessment and availing of input tax credit, accounting and reconciliations of the same.

- Develop and maintain tax process documentation with necessary internal controls to meet the IFC requirements.

- Manage Claims, Demands, Appeals and other issues raised by Tax Authorities, review orders received, submit rectification application, file appeal and represent before Authorities/ Tribunal etc.

- Managing litigation and ensure minimum litigation by timely dispute resolution, up to date completion of assessment /appeals, refunds and submissions.

- To interact independently with external agencies like Tax authorities, consultants to facilitate smooth tax management.

- Provide guidance and reports for all tax matters, new updates, including tax audit, timely and accurate payment of taxes, cross border transfer pricing issues, Advance Pricing Agreement etc.

- Tax planning on new business initiatives, Transaction advisory and structuring for most optimal solution including day to day transactions to optimize tax outflow maintaining high standard of compliance.

- Monitoring, computing, accounting and compliance of export/ import benefits of various schemes of government from applying to compliance of closing the transaction at EDPMS / IDPMS having interaction with DGFT/Customs authorities.

Risk Management:

- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.

- Maintain and administer internal control and compliance policy ensuring that all key risks are covered by appropriate rules and that line management has an effective system in place to identify, monitor and measures risks and to introduce risk based internal audit system.

- Monitor all open legal issues relating to financial matters, asses the nature of the liability to report the contingent liabilities.

- Report risk issues to the audit committee of the Board of Directors.

General :

- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.

- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team, maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.

- Responsible for grants, contracts management, negotiations and providing decision support to operations team to ensure cost effective &compliance of the same.

- Create and sustain productive Banking, Vendor and contractual relationships and serve as primary contact with related parties.

- Oversee human assets and develop talent within, to keep the healthy competition alive in the team, keep team members motivated to create highly enthusiastic team.
