Senior Legal Counsel - IT (6-10 yrs)

Job Responsibilities :

- Manage the legal affairs in India, establish legal risk prevention and control system to ensure the steady operation of the business

- Provide guidance for major, complex and difficult issues and disputes, and solve such issues with internal and external resources

- Responsible for implementation of major projects along with solving and managing business risks and crisis events.

- Draft & solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights

- Transaction negotiation and management (DD included)

- Provide compliance consultation for daily businesses, including but not limited to labour law, IPR, foreign investment and PE

- Implement compliance projects in collaboration with the Head Office, based on the requirements of local laws

- Dispute resolution and litigation, as and when required

- Selection and management of external resources

- Monitor the changes of the laws and policies related to company business, prompting risks and providing response plan

Job Requirements :

- 8-10 years of work experience in legal field; multinational high-tech companies or management experience will be preferred

- Master of Laws or above

- Strong English document drafting skills

- Familiarity with the following legal domains :

a. Employment Law

b. Real Estate

c. Intellectual Property

d. Dispute Resolution

e. Foreign Investment Restrictions

- Knowledge of Karnataka & Bangalore laws and regulations

- Fluency in Kannada & Hindi

- Ability to work an international/intercultural environment

- Flexibility on schedule and willingness to travel

- Positive attitude and strong sense of ethics

- Outstanding communication skills
