Senior Leadership Role - EUM Consulting - Energy/Power/Utility Sector (9-18 yrs)
Job Responsibilities
As a Leader you will have responsibility for the following:
- Leading, coaching, and advising a team of x-competency analysts in the development of clear, persuasive and concise company outside-in analysis
- Managing and inspiring a team of analysts to high performance
- Managing the development of junior team members on projects and identifying opportunities for them to grow and build their skills
- Applying advanced expertise to lead the team in translating the analysis into credible recommendations that drive action
- Advising the analysts on problem and hypothesis framing, analytic relevance, and how to drive quantitative and qualitative sophistication across deliverables
- Reviewing deliverables within respective industry / sector for accuracy, completeness, and relevance
- Owning and ensuring ROI capture and reporting for the industry / sector
- Driving cross-pollination of best practices, behaviors, and approaches within the industry / sector
- Collaborating with other pillars to identify new ways to create value for stakeholders
- Enabling operational excellence and efficiencies by continuously identifying opportunities to embed automation and improved leverage in how the team operates
- Must have specific Skills (Example : SQL, Tableau, SAS, Project management, Business Development, etc)
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or proven record of success either in a professional consulting services or corporate roles (12+ years of experience), in one or more of the following sectors:
- Industrial Products: aerospace and defense; industrial manufacturing; automotive; mobility; engineering and construction; forest, paper and packaging; chemicals; and metals.
- Energy, Utilities, and Mining: downstream energy, integrated energy, upstream energy, oilfield services, power and utilities.
In-depth knowledge of one or more resources/data sets such as the below would be greatly valued:
- Wood Mackenzie
- IHS Markit
- SNL
- S&P-CapIQ
- Refinitiv/Eikon
- Public/govt sources (e.g. EIA, IEA, ISM Manufacturing Indices, The Purchasing Managers Index)
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in leadership, strategic andcreative thinking, problem solving, individual initiative, including the following areas:
- Reflecting market, competitive and other external drivers with specific areas of focus including strategy,financial performance, sector and thematic trends, operational performance, and valuation;
- Ability to develop ideas for forward-looking, client-centric analysis to drive strategic conversations andspecific growth opportunities targeted to the client service team's needs;
- Managing teams / multiple workstreams to establish successful project conclusion - i.e., delivery ofquality work on time and within budget;
- Leveraging industry knowledge and analytical skills, especially as it relates to project management and project facilitation;
- Analyzing complex quantitative and qualitative data in an efficient manner and synthesizing the output into meaningful and actionable insights;
- Communicating effectively in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats to senior audiences and being able to deliver difficult messages with persuasiveness and sensitivity;
- Demonstrating executive presence and ability to become a trusted advisor to firm leadership;
- Identifying and pursuing new client opportunities;
- Attracting, retaining, assessing and developing staff / team members;
- Demonstrating flexibility and creativity in managing work-life balance of self and team members;
- Demonstrating Power User ability with MS Office suite of applications including Excel modeling; and in Google Suite of collaboration and productivity apps including Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar.
People Management Responsibilities:
- 9- 18 yrs years of experience, with 7-10 years experience in leading x-competency team
