Title: Senior Lead Apptio TBM

Department: Technology Risk & Management Oversight

Reports To: Associate Director (in hiring)

- Your role as Senior Lead TBMA will be to have full oversight of the Apptio BAU and Change agenda . This role will be responsible for ensuring effective and accurate costing of Technology Services, Applications and Change Initiatives and accurate recharges to the business. 

- These recharges are scrutinized by the business in detail each month and the Senior Lead TBMA will be expected to have a deep understanding of the allocation model to be able to explain and justify how costs have been recharged. In your capacity as Senior Lead TBMA you will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of the data loaded to the model and ensuring that necessary actions are taken by data owners to maintain and enhance data quality where needed.

Key Responsibilities :

- Responsible for overseeing the running of the month-end cost transparency and recharge processes, ensuring that all governance and control steps are followed and reconciliations with Finance system completed.

- Be the key Apptio point of contact for data owners who provide data for running month-end, Finance for the recharges generated and Technology stakeholders who want to understand/analyse the cost of their applications and change initiatives.

- Conduct necessary reviews and analysis at month-end to ensure Apptio recharges are accurate. These will sometimes require detailed analysis within the tool to check fall outs and highlight any other issues, which will need to seeing through to resolution within a tight timescale over the month-end period.

- Overseeing changes made to the Apptio Cost Transparency and Bill of IT modules by members of your team and working closely with the Apptio PM to ensure effective priortization, testing and communication of all change.

- Ensuring that IT Planning is operating as per agreed methodologies, and overseeing any changes required to the tool to support the ongoing Direct Cost Forecasting.

- Ensure that all Apptio BAU methodology and process documentation is kept up to date.

- Participate in the Apptio Design Authority Forum and contribute to discussions on methodology approach and priortization of changes.

- The Senior TBM lead will be the - go to person for any Apptio technical issues and will be expected to provide technical assistance to the TBM team as and when required.

- Keep up to date with Apptio and ATUM model developments

Essential skills :

- ETBMA/RTBMA qualified

- Minimum 2 years experience working with Apptio modules

- Advanced technical problem solving skills

- Analytical and questioning approach with excellent attention to detail

- Ability to understand, interpret and analyse financial data

- Good interpretative skills, being able to anticipate the impact of changes in other tools and process that might impact Apptio.

- Demonstrates tenacity and resilience in seeing a problem to conclusion

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) including an ability to establish a strong rapport, communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.

- Strong people management skills with a focus on development and building skills

- Work to tight timelines

- Promote teamwork and demonstrate best practices

- Able to work in a fast moving, dynamic, rapidly changing environment

- Proficiency with JIRA, and Microsoft office tools

Desirable experience/skills:

- Familiarity with Technology organisations in the financial services sector

- Technology Infrastructure background

- Active and regular contributor to the Apptio Community site
