Senior/Lead Analyst - Financial Research Team - Asset Backed Securities (4-8 yrs)

We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our Financial Research team based in the firm's office in Hyderabad, India. This role involves working closely with the firm's Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) team.


- Build and maintain end-to-end financial models, including financial statement/corporate restructuring modeling and liability waterfall/granular portfolio pool modeling

- Undertake financial forecasting, capital structure analysis, covenant analysis, peer group, and industry analysis

- Provide support during live deals and investment research for live opportunities by interacting directly with the onshore Investment team

- Execute credit analysis of European credit markets

- Generate credit investment ideas across products (direct lending, NPLs, structured credit, corporate credit, FIG investing)

- Work closely with internal technology teams in building underwriting platform and supporting and participating in automation projects


The ideal candidate will have:

- A finance degree or equivalent qualification along with four to eight years of work experience in managing distressed corporate debt or ABS/structured credit

- Experience with modeling significant financial transactions, managing data in Excel or python, and data operations

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and attention to detail is a must

- Robust analytical skills, the ability to lead a project while working independently with limited direction and guidance, and self-motivation

- Working knowledge of ABS securities, European Non-Performing Loans (NPL), the European high-yield market, or the direct lending markets will be an advantage
