IT Project Manager in Retail Asset domain

Role Purpose :

- Manage end-to-end execution of assigned projects by managing all stake holders to ensure delivery within agreed schedule, budget and quality guidelines.

All functions:

Requirement gathering, project related updates

TKM : Partnering and development of new applications and solutions

Vendors : Onboarding, Project management

Key Accountabilities :

- Project Management and Delivery

- Manage multiple projects in parallel

Planning Phase :

- Understand Project Charter and develop WBS

- Prepare draft RFP / Project change request, review with internal stake holders and rollout to potential vendors.

- Working with vendors, build high level solution, budget estimates, schedule estimates, resourcing needs, project organization and risk register.

- Conduct strong negotiations with vendors on quality, resources, cost etc.

- Prepare for PIRC

- Define quality standards for projects and provide templates for project.

- Build readiness for Execution phase through development of day-wise schedule

- Complete contracting with vendors and onboard vendor team.

Execution Phase :

- Oversee the activities as per the schedule through coordination of all teams.

- Review progress on RQA, address open items, facilitate decision making and obtain signoffs. Review the scope, schedule, budget and resource needs, build change plan for MD & CEO approval.

- Participate and guide project team build - Go-Live- strategy, - Test- strategy, - Migration- strategy.

- Support Project team in developing test cases, test data for building UAT readiness. Working with IT Infrastructure team, ensure UAT and Production environments are up and running.

- Oversee UAT, track bugs, prioritize, manage releases and support users for re-testing. Control changes through change management process.

- Ensure Information Security and compliance requirements are met

- Build readiness for Go-Live, obtain all approvals and launch the system

- Track and report on project budget

- Ensure on-time payments to vendors and same is tracked.

Closure Phase :

- Manage Stabilization by ensuring all reported bugs are close. Complete - Transition- to Operations, Obtain necessary signofts, Complete all vendor payments. Prepare Project Closure report, submit to Project Initiator and Project Lead and all relevant project stake holders.

- KPIs e Schedule and budget variance

- Signed off project objectives/outcomes

- List of documents to maintain for project/up to date documents.

- Prediction of project status ahead in time (2-4 weeks).

- Project communication(Right time, Right message, Right recipients, Right channel)

Experience & Skills

Education: Graduate in IT/ Computer Science, PMP Certification desirable

Experience: 6-9 years- experience in IT/ITES with at least 5-6 years of project management experience in Retail Asset domain
