Senior IT Development Manager - Java/C# (12-18 yrs)

1. Knowledge Requirements

- You will be a driven candidate with strong attention to detail and problem solving.

- You will be familiar to working in multi-location teams and have experience of dealing with stakeholders from different backgrounds i.e.: IT and business.

- Detailed knowledge of the Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt is essential.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential.

2. Required Qualifications/Certifications

- Bachelor's degree (technology preferred) is essential.

- Professional IT accreditation or qualification in C# or JAVA is required(Both would be Advantageous).

- Number of hands on technical software development courses (as example .Net, JAVA, C#, Agile..) completed is essential.

- Professional IT accreditation or qualification is desirable.

- Any Management training courses completed is desirable.

3. Experience Requirements

- Equivalent to 12 to 15 years- experience in development of C# and/or Java web and windows end to end (OO Design & Programming, Development, Test and Release management) application development is essential(Other coding languages like RPG and Work flow engines would be advantageous).

- Equivalent to 8+ Years management experience is essential.

- Very strong development guidance and hands on development skills equivalent to more than 6+ years is essential.

- Strong development background with equivalent to 6+ years- experience in C#.Net with further exposer to workflow solutions is essential.

- Equivalent to 8+ years- experience working as a Development Manager working on major (>- 100k development costs) redesign and upgrade projects is essential.

- Equivalent to 8+ Years of Experience setting up source control and automated build environments (Visual Studio Online experience preferred) is essential.

- Equivalent to 5+ years- experience working with onshore development teams is essential.

- Experienced using a variety of techniques and tools (Development, Team/Task Management, Source control, Quality Management) to manage and support the development team is essential.

- Equivalent to 5+ years- experience of strong code quality and review capability of c#.Net solutions(and other) is essential,

- Operational experience in C# and of running large projects and building robust, scalable and adaptable systems is essential.

- 8+ Years- experience in Relational databases e.g. MS SQL Server is essential(Oracle and DB2 advantageous).

- Strong Software/Systems Development with knowledge of a range of languages including C# is essential (RPG & workflow/Vision/UML modeling advantageous).

- Experienced using variety of software practices, for example Test Driven Development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) is

desirable.

- Experience setting up standards and practices for the development life cycle is essential.

- Experienced running agile teams and methodologies are essential (Agile qualifications would be advantageous).

- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with 3rd parties and vendors is essential.

- End to end Design and delivery experience is essential (On at least 5 projects).

- Experience of Web services development is desirable.

- Experience of Microservices (is a method of developing software applications as a suite of independently deployable, small, modular services in which each service runs a unique process and communicates through a well-defined, lightweight mechanism to serve a business goal or pair programming is desirable.

- Experience in Financial Services is desirable.

- Background in Software development with exposure to different database, integration and infrastructure technologies is highly desirable.
