Senior Instructional Designer - eLearning (4-12 yrs)
- We are looking for an instructional designer who is ideas-driven, comes from a Learning, Development & training background, and is passionate about making learning an invigorating and empowering experience. Instructional designers can expect to work with subject matter experts, a diverse range of formats, and multimedia production platforms. Other responsibilities include developing objectives, rewriting and reshaping content, developing visual storyboards, and developing assessments.
- Successful instructional designers should have a firm grasp of how people learn, and excellent web design, writing, communication, and collaboration skills. Ideally, the perfect candidate should also have experience in managing projects and a working knowledge of basic graphic design. This role will create and manage online technology-based (AR, VR & MR) academic and non-credit courses in all modalities.
Responsibilities for Instructional Designer
- Gathering & understanding of business/learning requirements
- Responsible for developing simulations, WBT, ILT, vILTs, and QRGS
- Working with tools such as Articulate Storyline 3 and Rise 360
- Collaborate with clients/stakeholders to achieve desired deliverables and manage the lifecycle of projects (Developing & managing & delivering projects)
- Develop and edit online learning material and content
- Assess learning needs
- Analyse existing instructional material
- Develop and design online material and assessment tools
- Oversee implementation of online learning programs
- Train educators and students to use the online learning system
- Troubleshoot technical problems via reported user issues
Qualifications for Instructional Designer
- Master's degree in educational technology or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience using course authoring tools
- Familiar with web design, video technology, and editing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of varied learning styles
- Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods
