Senior HR Employee Engagement


Position Summary : Describe below the primary purpose and function of this job

Under the direct supervision of COO , this position will provide HR support for FRSPL

Span control - 300+ people business

Location : Mumbai (Ghansoli ) .

Key Duties & Responsibilities : List up to 5 key duties and responsibilities, management responsibilities and time spent (if applicable)

- Provide leadership in the area of HR planning and operations for the business segment/s

- Develop and align the people strategy and design both long- and short-term solutions for the business and ensure the fundamental HR processes are keeping pace with the growth in relation to the business

- Employee Engagement : Along with the company's values, create a collaborative workforce based on shared goals and accountability

- Trusted Advisor : Effectively use influence and negotiation strategies to secure support from stakeholders for support of key initiatives

- Employee Relations : Minimize risk to organization by ensuring issues, if any are investigated and addressed in a timely, cost efficient manner

- Drives to root causes and is able to identify trends, process improvement opportunities and broader business implications

- Manages the execution of core People processes and policies per global frameworks as required, e.g. salary/compensation reviews, talent reviews etc

Management/Leadership Responsibility : Is management of people a primary focus of the role? If so, how many direct and indirect employees are managed? Do any of them manage a function or process?

4 direct reports

Budget Responsibility : Does the position have responsibility for Revenue, Operating (expense) Budget, etc.? If so, what is the scope?

NATURE OF IMPACT - To what degree does this job affect the business (i.e., through interactions with customers, making decisions, defining or setting strategy, etc.)?

- Key business partner for senior stakeholders in FRSPL India with interface to the South Africa

AREA OF IMPACT - What is the breadth of the impact that this job has, either positive or negative (i.e., affects own team, department, function, business unit, geography, entire business, etc.)?

Problem Solving : What is nature and complexity of the problems or decisions encountered? Are analytical skills needed?

- Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

- Ability to discern issues, escalate as needed and manage day to day operational issues of the office.

- Should be comfortable with adapting and changing situations, incomplete information, and uncertainty; must be flexible and adaptable due to the start-up nature of this work.

Functional Knowledge : What knowledge of concepts, process, principles or procedures is needed within discipline; SME?

- Strong Human Resources best practices knowledge.

- Efficient time management skills.

- Understanding of prevalent corporate laws impacting corporate employees.

- Good interpersonal and people management skills.

Business or Industry Expertise : Describe the degree of knowledge and understanding required of FRSPL's business and industry, commercial environment and of competitors products and services.

- Global mindset with India market experience; Experience of having worked in a global environment but also a solid understanding on local and regional laws and regulations

- Knowhow in transformation management; Strong evidence of successfully building/ transforming a business segment; handling people issues and people best practices in the context of organization design, performance management, rewards & recognition, employee retention etc.

- Good understanding of people practices in a global capability centre

- Within Financial services technology captive experience in HR or being in HR function of technology company highly desired

Interactions / Interpersonal Skills : Describe the nature and level of interactions this job has with others, both internally and externally. Explain any specific interpersonal skills necessary to successfully perform this role (i.e.,negotiation skills, represents business at external events or to governmental bodies, etc.)

- Generates credibility by developing a quick and deep understanding of the company's businesses, goals and culture; i.e. be "wired" into the business - strategies, structure and drivers

- Demonstrates willingness to 'get hands dirty' and be on the frontlines of problem-solving

- Strong communication skills; interacts with all areas of the organization, all levels, and US based executives

- Engages people in a dialogue to gain commitment and bring them "on board", linking their perspective to the intent; Adapts own approach to the audience, anticipating impact of words and actions, preparing for possible resistance and responding in an appropriate style, using a range of influencing styles.

- Drive/support pan India TIAA organization development efforts

Job Requirements And Qualifications : Indicate the minimum and preferred education and experience for the job and any licenses and certifications required

Required Education : Masters

Preferred Education : HR

Degree in HR /Equivalent

Required Experience : 8-10+ years

Preferred Experience : 8- 10+ years

Should have worked in end to end HR role
