Senior General Manager/Vice President - Foundry Operations - Manufacturing/Automobile (20-25 yrs)

ROLE OBJECTIVE :

- To oversee management of all areas of manufacturing to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Develops the manufacturing plan and ensure processes for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.

- Responsible from Planning to Shipment as per Customer/Business requirements

- Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.

- Improve productivity/Quality by implementing TPM and TQM concepts.

- Control rejections at optimum budgeted level and ensure proper corrective / preventive actions are implemented on timely basis with structured problem-solving approach

- Focus on reducing WIP, Inventories and rejections in the shop floor.

- Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.

- Works with Plant Maintenance closely and ensure the Upkeep of Machineries.

- Work as a CFT along with New Product development and ensure first time right is achieved in development process.

- Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.

- Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, etc.)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

- B.E Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering

- Must have handled the entire Production team of the Foundry.

- Must have around 20 years of experience in Production in an S.G Iron foundry with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the Senior Management role.

- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements

- Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
