Senior General Manager - Strategic Sourcing - Auto/Ancillary (16-20 yrs)

Job Responsibilities:

Job Purpose: To be responsible for the development and implementation of a robust sourcing channel management, both internally (i.e. domestic) and externally (i.e. import) to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw material, machine, tools, spares, equipment and other paraphernalia incidental in business process for overall financial and accounting matters of the Company (including Plants & Regional Offices)

To head team of 15 Strategic Sourcing & Import professional at multiple Plant Locations and the Corporate Office

Responsibilities :

I. Functional :

a. Understand the production of all products to ensure delivery of all raw material, consumables and outsourced components to agreed specification, budgets and timeframes.

b. Link Purchasing strategies to business objectives (including alignment of suppliers to business strategy). Develop and implement a supply strategy that delivers cost efficient and quality deliverables in line with the business objectives and ensure that activities are prioritized to minimize risk to the supply chain.

c. Identify, develop and implement future opportunities for procurement and/or processes that further enhance business deliverables.

d. Research and analyze market intelligence data and trend for commodity markets, and make strategic recommendation to senior management on each category on timely purchases of raw materials.

e. Be able to develop cost models and budgets to allow business planning and then deliver within agreed budgets.

f. Identify potential new supplier base to more efficiently procure materials to the requirements. Develop category strategies and establish and maintain strategic relationships with raw material suppliers

g. Identify gaps between supply capabilities and customer requirements

h. Develop and implement supply chain strategy & processes to ensure quality, purity and consistency as well as compliance to all necessary regulations.

i. Propose to the business other ingredient opportunities that could be effectively exploited and where appropriate, and implement processes necessary to deliver products.

j. Possess a willingness to perform any and all tasks either explicitly stated or implied to the best of one- s-own ability to ensure supply based projects are delivered successfully and volume & cost targets are met.

k. Build, develop and manage a high performing team in the areas of Procurement Operations, Logistics and Out Sourced Process Development

l. Maintain inventory at optimal levels and develop a strategy for commodity life cycle that leads to cost reduction and supply chain improvement.

m. Work jointly with Operations and other customer groups to develop Strategic Source Plans and ensure the financial benefits are included in the appropriate business plans

n. Support new product development on schedule by sourcing raw materials & components from preferred suppliers on time to support launch.

o. Participate in revenue-generating work on behalf of the company and act as a company resource when evaluating potential impact, weighing options and making decisions.

p. Identify, contract and manage all third party business partners.

q. Lead supplier development activities to further improve supplier performance and better integrate suppliers into the supply chain to maximize value from the supply base.

II. Environment, Health, Safety:

a. Leading efforts for EHS and its compliances, Adherence to EHS policy
