- Responsible for leading and managing the Engineering Procurement function within the organization. Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for engineering projects. The role will involve collaborating with various internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's objectives and goals.
- Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve cost-reduction targets without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their procurement needs, specifications,and project timelines.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on their capabilities, quality standards, delivery schedules, and pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms,and service levels.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply of goods and services.
- Monitor and analyze procurement metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to drive innovation and efficiency in procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to align procurement activities with overall organizational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, systems, and tools.
