1. Manager / Assistant Manager - Commercial MIS

Purpose of the Position :

This position is responsible for:-

- Driving the entire commercial strategies for the assigned own units, third party units and IMD for all production related activities.

- Setting up all commercial parameters for all projects specifically monitoring the adherence to budgetary control, continuous development and control parameters for cost efficacies in production.

- Setting common goals to maximize revenue and performance through efficient functioning of Supply Chain, Production & Compliances, etc.

- Acting as a point of contact for vendor management catering to win-win relationships, prioritizing for materials and timely renewal of contracts.

- Ensuring that company interests are covered for all commercial documents and statutory compliances related to sourcing, sales, vendor management and payments etc.

Detailed Responsibilities :

Process/Sub Process Responsibilities/Activities :

- Commercial Planning Supervises and controls the commercials of Own units/ Third Party (3P) Units assigned to him.

- Leads all processes related to commercial adherence from the aspect of strategizing for operational control, policies to adopt and systems to implement.

- Develops policies, procedures and systems for the procurement of goods and services and implements the same as a Single point of contact.

- Establishes and maintains a system of internal control/ SOPs/manuals etc. and designs standard operating procedure within the commercial function.

- Strategizes and plans with the IMD team for all commercial parameters and controls of the foreign operations and related functions of production.

- Strategizes with the management on commercial viability and analysis of the production planning matrix, Inventory management cycle, Supply chain logistics for commercial control of the respective IMD and domestic units assigned to him.

- Project Management Provides inputs for continuous improvement and development of new systems and processes in commercial aspects of Operations and Projects function targeted at meeting the future needs of the organization.

- Drives analysis and builds up commercial parameters for all Projects within the company like Vendor pricing, negotiation and closure of Agreement, Project Accounting supervision and adherence to cost parameters.

- Oversees the inventory levels across units and plans whether it needs to be utilized, disposed, etc. and implements accordingly to reclaim the operating cash and optimize cash flows.

- Ensures that all CAPEX and OPEX are under commercial control and adhering to the budgets, process of sourcing and also vendor negotiation and agreement.

- Identifies areas of improvement and suggests methods for improving efficiency, quality, cost of the commercial processes and adherence to commercial compliances.

Financial Control & Budget :

- Creates budget for the commercial function across units, decides on the allocation for various activities and drives cost saving programs across unit to drive commercial consciousness.

- Monitors adherence to the budgets for SCM and commercial operations and oversees preparation of MIS Reports and analyses them to understand the reason behind any discrepancies across units.

- Tracks the commercial aspects of all transactions to ensure they are completed in time to avoid costs due to non movement of goods.

- Monitors adherence to all set guidelines and financial management practices/ accounting principles within the Operations and Projects Commercial function.

- Supervises the costing perspectives for all projects (COPA) across units and

Job Description :

- acts as the last point of escalation for all GST coordination for returns and issues with GST, from HO- Operations end.

- Drives the commercial accounting of all Government Grants and subsidies for assigned units including pricing and appreciation.

- Vendor Management Engages with existing suppliers on an ongoing basis to build relationships & suggests criteria for vendor identification and performance evaluation and transparently evaluates the same.

- Supervises negotiation with vendors and analyzes the price trends forecast to prioritize purchase activities accordingly.

- Supervises the timely execution and renewal of contracts with the vendors and ensures all settlements and agreements are complete without any bottlenecks.

- Audit Acts as a last level supervisor for all statutory Audits and guides the team for Audit observations and mitigations.

- Performs analysis as applicable for the audits and advises on areas concerning risks, controls and efficiency of business and finance processes.

- Reviews operational areas including Planning and Sourcing, Distribution and Allocation, Projects to provide inputs for improvement in internal controls, systems and processes, identification of cost saving avenues etc.

- Team Development Motivates and guides team across on key aspects of the function for performance improvement and efficient service delivery.
