Job Description

Sourcing Guidelines for Suppliers :

1. This role will report into the Corporate SVP

2. Span of control : Approximately 400 people

3. Shift : 8 30 am to 5 30 pm OR 10 am to 7 pm (Mon to fri working)

4. Skills : Need candidates ONLY from PHARMA or HEALTHCARE domain

5. In analytics - they need Commercial Analytics OR R&D analytics and ideal will be if they have both

6. Candidate should have had past experience or strong knowledge of Big Data / Data Science ( because the current team needs to be upgraded to this)

7. Will also be responsible for Capability management

8. Years of experience : 15 to 16 years (12 to 13years relevant exp in pharma / healthcare)

9. Preferably candidates who have passed out from Top tier institutes . Doctors (Phds ) will be a plus

Job Description - Sr. General Manager( Operations)-( Pharma/Healthcare Analytics)

About Knowledge Center Team: 


- The Knowledge Centre provides critical information, analysis and services that drive decisions and shape strategies. The services range from basic data extraction and processing to complex analytics and research for a leading pharmaceutical company. The team extends support to variety of business functions like Business Intelligence, Commercial Effectiveness, Market Access, Digital communications, Business Transformation etc.

- In order to keep pace with the changing business environment, the team is focusing on expanding, elevating and re-aligning the Knowledge Center (KC) capabilities to be future ready.

Job Role:

- The Role would involve a deep understanding of the Pharmaceutical domain, in order to align the strategy and vision of the Knowledge Centre to that of the client to be a best in class.

- The candidate is required drive content oriented strategy initiatives and be able to champion these across the KC and be the engine which will fuel the long-term growth potential and value for the client.

- The candidate should pro-actively identify and capitalize on new capabilities in order to build the consulting mindset.

- Responsible for mentoring and guidance of team members on technical and personal development.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Work with process / project leads to develop Analytic and information management practices that enhance teamwork and effectiveness

2. Drive integration of all analytics functions by encouraging best-practice sharing among teams and creating an environment of knowledge & capability transfer across functions and leveraging the cross-functional synergies thereby increasing the quality of work

3. To ensure that the delivery content is rated high on depth, comprehensiveness, quality and timelines and also interfacing with clients on a regular basis

4. Develop a diverse analytical team skill set

5. Demonstrate ability to convey complex ideas in an easily understood manner to guide audience through written or verbal communications.

6. Ensure exemplary communication with all stakeholders through regular updates with focus on accomplishments, KPIs, best practices, staffing changes, key events, etc.

7. Provide input into performance appraisal of Process Leads and manage their training needs

8. Work closely with internal / external management to drive overall productivity and growth within the business analytics and intelligence function.

The specific responsibilities would be to:

1. Develop long term strategies for Team capability and skill enhancement

2. Plan and enable the implementation of strategy and its actionable operations

3. Deliver year-on-year efficiency improvements and cost savings

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification / Work Experience:

1. 15-20 years

2. Post Graduate Degree in Management from Institution of repute/ doctorate in relevant field

3. Worked with Pharma and Life Sciences companies

4. Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action plan.

5. Good overall knowledge of the Client interface / on boarding and associated processes

Key Skills/ Competency (Necessary):

Technical Experience :

1. Should have strong background in Healthcare /Consumer Analytics

2. At least 15-20 years relevant business analytics, database management, research and marketing experience in Pharma/Healthcare in customer focused performance-driven cultures

3. Proven leadership ability to influence and perform at a top-management level in a cross-cultural, cross functional and global matrix organization.

4. Proven track record in people leadership, customer management and team development

Skills :

1. Experience of project management and execution

2. Good communication skills (English): written and oral

3. Flexibility/agility to work in a matrix and international environment

4. Ability to lead large teams, set direction and agenda, drive team development

5. Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with logical reasoning and problem-solving expertise to draw recommendation and drive insights

6. Strong focus on quality, high sense of project ownership, contributes towards building a positive team spirit and is enthusiastic, dedicated and a go-getter

Capabilities:

1. Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical business from commercial and clinical development perspectives, good knowledge of global pharmaceutical environment and challenges

2. Strong ability to understand, interpret and present Commercial data

3. Superior communication ability to ensure that the scope of projects/initiatives and expectations are commonly understood between customers and stakeholders

4. Good presentation skills, ability to interface with cross-functional teams

5. Ensure good cohesion and communication in the team

6. Grow and develop talent the team

Key Skills/ Competency (Desirable):

Technical:

1. To be knowledgeable and hands on experience in various databases such as IQVIA

2. Understanding of Pharma - Product development and Commercialization

3. Exposure to Digital and Advanced Analytics would be added advantage
