Objective of the role
- Lead and Manage the Accounting and Treasury function.
- Review and reconciliation of General Ledger.
- Responsible for Monthly Closing Activities and accruals on timely basis
- Responsible for compliance with statutory and group requirements in the areas of Financial Accounting, Reporting, and Audit.
- Responsible for Annual Budget activity.
- Provide meaningful analysis of monthly /Quarterly/Annual results based on comparisons to forecast, budget and previous year in all areas of business operations. This includes reporting Monthly / Quarterly/ Annual Financial Result, Analyse the Actual with the Performance Score Card and reporting on key financial matrix around Operational, Commercial, Working Capital and Capex.
- Ensure appropriate accounting and finance controls are established in all areas of business operations with Standard Operating Procedures documented.
- Calculate pay outs for incentive compensation.
- Drive process improvements to improve operational results and controls.
- Ensure timely completion of Audit.
- Maintenance of Books, Registers including Fixed Asset Register
- Participate in special projects as directed by the Senior Management.
Key Areas of Responsibility
ESSENTIAL
- Ensures that the company complies with Group requirements in production/upkeep of statutory accounts, management accounts, budgets, Rolling forecasts, an audit of accounts and evaluation/approval and deployment of CapEx through the Finance Memo Process.
- Ensure all appropriate financial controls are established through documenting Standard Operating Procedures, and training in all areas involving Finance transactions both in Factories, Regional Offices etc.
- To support the RFC, RVP, GM & Heads of Department - Monthly Business Performance Management process - by providing accurate and effective analysis - within the organization successfully demonstrating improved quality of reporting, forecasting and budgeting by delivering timely, accurate and informative reports.
- Ensure all monthly financial reports are completed accurately and submitted timely.
- Keep proper record of all the transactions of the company like sales, purchases, expenses, payments, receipts etc. including safe storage of documents as per statutory norms.
- Ensures compliance with local laws as related to running of business and Mercantile laws applicable to the group
- To establish full control of Capex expenditure including forecasting, in compliance with company policy and deliver the approved budget
- Provide key inputs with regards to cost control, cost efficiency and ways to improve margin performance through strict and proactive control of overheads
- To ensure physical stock movements are correctly taken up in the books on a timely basis, proactive support is provided to the Factory Managers, Operations Manager & GM to reduce the incidence of write offs, obsolescence etc.
SECONDARY
- Regular review of performance of Finance team members, conduct appraisals and ensure that training needs are proactively communicated and delivered in consultation with RFC, India
- Leadership to be demonstrated on critical business processes like freight management, returnable barrels, stock management (expired, near expiry, obsolete) and suggest performance enhancement measures to management
Knowledge/ Experience/ Skills/ Personal attributes
ESSENTIAL
- 10 - 12 years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing set up managing Finance function.
- Strong financial & management accounting skills
- Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken and good communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, besides presentation skills. Hands on experience in using MS Word, Spread sheet, and PowerPoint etc.
- Strong awareness of IT for business, exposure to ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics) and standard costing systems
- People Management skills
DESIRABLE
- Exposure to chemical/batch processing units and construction markets (manufacturing industry)
- Excellent report writing skills catering to senior management
- Exposure to reporting in Tagetik - reporting system
- Exposure to business intelligence tools (Business Objects and the like)
- IFRS reporting
Education Qualification
ESSENTIAL Professional qualification in Accountancy ( ICAI, ICWAI, CIMA) with post qualification experience in manufacturing setup
