Senior Finance Associate - Private Equity - CA - Consulting Firm (3-5 yrs)
Job Duties :
The Senior Finance Associate will work in the offshore shared services team supporting Audit & Compliance function in the Finance & Accounting division of a large global Private Equity (PE) firm. Broad responsibilities include but not limited to, financial statements and compliance reporting, spreadsheet modeling and analysis. The position will have extensive contact with most levels of the Finance and Accounting Group.
- Quarterly Management fee Calculations, Invoice Preparation and review
- Capital Statement recs, including quarterly capital movements
- Drafting and review of financial statements and accompanying footnotedisclosures
- Preparation of interim financial statements as needed and responding to investors- external audit confirmation request
- Responsible for working closely with the finance and accounting group to identify, test and implement process improvements
- Create procedure manuals as necessary with the Finance Associate to build quality internal controls
- Handling Audit Queries
- Review daily activities and processes as performed by the Finance Associate
Skills Required :
- Fund Services/Private Equity clients handled experience with fair understanding of LP, GP structure, Investor Reporting.
- Fair understanding of Financial Statement - knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting practices,
- MS office skills and proficiency with spreadsheet programs, such as MS Excel, are essential. (links, reference formulas/lookups, pivot tables, macros)
- Diligence and hard work
- Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
- Strongoral and written communication skills
- Client handling - SOP Creation/Transition Exposure would be added advantage
- A team player
- Self-starter,Well organized, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
