Senior Executive - Finance - CA - EPC (6-9 yrs)

Primary objective
This role is responsible for Joint Venture finance and accounting function including payables and receivables, reporting and analysis of all projects across the Asia location. The role supports the Project Management in the delivery of the month end processes and associated reporting for WA. The role will also provide support in a broad range of accounting tasks to facilitate the month end and year end financial processes.
Specific Accountabilities:
The incumbent will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Commercial analysis of performance and results
- Supervise AP & AR of projects
- Ensure JV reporting alignment with Oracle and other JVP accounting system
- Review and analysis of project costs, revenue and work in progress (WIP)
- Liaise with client and project management regarding contractual issues
- Liaise with Joint Venture Partners regarding contractual issues
- Forecasting and budgeting profitability and cashflow for Joint Venture Partners
- Cost estimates for client
- Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements
- Examine financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and principles
- Prepare interpretation of accounting results and advise management.
- Participate in the monthly project financial review to be conducted with the Location Director, CSG Manager, Project Manager and Manager of Major Projects.
- Responsible for the preparation of statutory reports and lodgements
Key Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Degree qualification with an accounting or commerce major
- CA qualification
- Past experience with project accounting
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and corporate financial policies
- Ability to understand the drivers of the business
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with a large ERP environment such as Oracle, SAP or JD Edwards
- Superior general ledger reconciliation skills
- A high level of understanding of the accounts payable and receivable processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high degree of organisational skills
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks whilst meeting reporting deadlines
