Job Description :

SUMMARY :

- Reporting to the Senior Manager - Finance, the Branch Finance will be responsible for all branch accounts, finance and admin activities.

- The position's responsibilities will include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. The position combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports. Your duties will also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

General Responsibilities:

The responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Evaluating branch revenue and ensuring correct SAP entries are made - auditing the same.

- Credit evaluation of new customers as per SOP ensuring valid bank guarantee and KYC. Securing appropriate approvals to on-board new customers.

- Ensuring invoicing is done by respective branch CRMs in a timely manner.

- Coordinating all statutory payments of the branch to vendors.

- Handling the counts receivable and payable, customers of the branch, credit control and follow up.

- Creating and accounting branch wise P&L, branch profitability, customer wise profitability, and P&L of all sub branches in the station.

- Visiting the warehouses and CFS under the branch, understanding the financial operations, P&L and auditing the same.

- Meeting with vendors, negotiating credit terms and pricing.

- Look into entire admin requirements of the branch.

- Ensuring timely payment to vendors and associates of the branch.

- Cross verifying bills before payments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

Required: A Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance or associated fields. 3-5 years of PQE in finance in a similar role.

PREFERRED SKILLS :

- Robust financial knowledge, and keeping abreast with recent financial trends and new methods developed in the field.

- Knowledge of statutory compliance.

- Ability to lead and motivate team members.

- Ability to effectively handle tight deadlines and operational hiccups with ease

- Good communication skills.

- Technologically savvy, and expertise in Microsoft Professional tools.

- Past history of working with cargo industry
