1. Help build and lead great development teams to deliver world-class products.

2. Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement

3. Establish a solid project framework and excellent development processes. Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.

4. Works with tech leads and senior engineers to gather system requirements, gut check new feature proposals and large system improvements.

5. Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.

6. Communicate across functions and drive engineering initiatives.

7. Initiate cross functional collaboration with DevOps, Product and Design to develop high quality, polished products.

8. Be an evangelist for technology & represent Practo in external forums.

What We Are Looking For:

1. 8+ years of professional experience architecting, developing, and launching software products on web or mobile.

2. 4+ years of experience managing successful engineering teams including hiring/termination and performance management.

3. Ability to establish credibility with smart engineers quickly, and provide longer term vision and motivation.

4. Strong technical background with track record of individual technical accomplishments

5. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

6. Deep understanding of how culture and team dynamics create exceptional teams.

7. Agile management experience, primarily Scrum.
