Senior Engineer - Shop Planning - Heavy Equipment Firm

We are currently looking for a leading Heavy equipment organization for the role of Shop Planning in Product & planning department.

Location- Karjan , Vadodra

Role- Sr. Engineer- Shop Planning

Education- BE/B.Tech

Report to- Head

Team handling- No

Experience- 8 to 15 Years

KRA's :

- Able to read and understand the engineering drawings & BOM

- Have a clear idea of shop floor operations at assembly shop, machine shop and fabrication shop. (Few year experience on shop floor have an extra advantage )

- Preparation of Annual/Monthly & Weekly schedules

- Interfacing between Project Management , Process Planning & Manufacturing to capture real time progress, Cost and Material Shortages

- Coordinate with Project Manager, Stores & Manufacturing for timely Kitting to ensure seamless operations in assembly line.

- Identify capacity conflicts of each work centre, setting of priorities and be a feedback loop to Project Manager for any under or over capacity

- Able to set an effective planning of man and machine hours, shop wise in manufacturing area, working in heavy engg. Organization in matching role have an extra advantage.

- Analysis of actual data of manufacturing costs & hours establish the standardized benchmarks for ready reference to future orders.

- Knowledge of material grades, and lead time of different critical material (Forgings, castings etc.)

- Work with production to establish and improve time standards for new and existing products.

- Must have the working experience of SAP (PP / MM Module), and MS project & MS excel.
