EXPERIENCE: 6+ Yrs LOCATION: 100% Remote COMPENSATION: 28 LPA DATA ENGINEER - As a Data Engineer on the Marketing team, you will provide hands-on technical leadership to build end-to-end analytical solutions that will empower analysts and marketers to create personalized communication strategies at scale across the customer journey. - You will strive to create simple but highly effective data solutions that increase the productivity of analysts to develop targeted audience segments, help them discover untapped opportunities, and report on the outcome of campaigns. - This is an exciting opportunity to work on new projects to build a data infrastructure that will have a meaningful impact on marketing operations and serve as a catalyst for business growth. In this role you will: 1. Design, implement and operate SQL Server and Snowflake data infrastructure (data mart, data lake) to support marketing operations (segmentation, customer journey, analytics, and KPI reporting) 2. Collaborate with data engineering to implement data ingestion routines to curate data from internal sources (CRM, Data Warehouse, Emails), and external sources (CDP, Education data providers, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.) 3. Play a key role in elevating the data capabilities of the Marketing organization by creating actionable data sets for campaign analysts and business intelligence analysts 4, Develop data solutions for email and digital campaign performance reporting 5. Develop automation and repeatable processes to cleanse data and maintain data integrity Collaborate within our overall Data Engineering teams to ensure marketing data models are created following engineering best practices and governance standards Who you are: - You are an expert in data modeling, who is comfortable working with datasets of varying latencies, complexity, and size. - You have a passion for data governance and ownership for new and existing data models. Experience and skills: 1. 6+ years of hands-on industry experience with data modeling and data analytics 2. Experience in data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes 3. Extensive expertise with Microsoft SQLServer (2016+) and Transact-SQL 4. Advanced SQL expertise with multi-stage transformations and usage of more sophisticated transformation tools and methods, such as windowing functions and temp tables in Transact-SQL 5. Experience implementing business logic into models that successfully drive business value 6. Experience building database objects and data transformations using a git-based workflow 7. Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate business concepts to partner analysts and teams 8. Applied experience with relational modeling, star schemas, Kimball Data Warehousing, and exposure to Data Vault 9.
