Senior Credit Manager (10-18 yrs)

Purpose of Job :

Manage portfolio of accounts receivable for North America business units which includes customer financial risk analysis. Primary objective is to reduce risk exposure, maximize receivable turnover and minimize bad debt losses. Works to meet and achieve corporate growth objectives and corporate working capital goal.

Responsibilities :

- Coordinates and oversees the establishment of customer risk class and credit limit based on timely review of credit application/information, within corporate guidelines in conjunction with Sales and management objectives.

- Coordinates and oversees credit decisions based on fair, consistent review of information provided by customer or sales personnel and additional information gathered by the credit department, i.e. D&B, Secretary of State, ABC Amega, Credit Risk Monitor, etc.

- Coordinates and oversees the daily review, release or hold, as appropriate, of sales orders.

- Provides short/long term remedial action to collections team to resolve past dues and delinquencies in conjunction with Sales / BU management input.

- Position includes direct discussion with customers, including their finance and purchasing group management wherever necessary.

- Position has direct involvement with credit industry groups and credit reporting agencies as needed.

- Weekly, monthly and business unit reports on credit management are prepared as needed, scheduled or requested.

- Responsible for the monitoring of the AR portfolio for changes in customer risk status.

- Responsible for review of sales forecast report and coordination with Sales/Marketing to identify risks prior to receiving quote requests.

- Reviewing and ensure compliance of credit management internal controls as per global and North America policy on credit management.
