Content Writer / Level - Senior Manager As the Content Writer, the candidate's responsibilities include supporting the Vice Chancellor in his communication requirement, writing for traditional publications as well as for the web, internal communication, content for branding collaterals, conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, producing online content and have an eye for detail. He /She will interact with various departments and people internally to understand the various requirements and curate, create content accordingly. Ultimately, the candidate is required to deliver quality content that appeals to audiences, attract customers, engage users and boost brand awareness as well as support our internal communication Role Responsibilities I) Internal and External Communication - Assist in developing and researching content, draft mails, editorial - Draft responses comments etc on behalf of spokespeople - Develop, write mailers for different stakeholders - Content for marketing and branding collaterals - Writing for internal publication(s) - Communicate information on important announcements within process guidelines &amp; designs - Consistency and clarity in internal and external communication of the brand, messaging and tone across the target groups. - Identify customers- needs and provide creative and relevant solutions - Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, meet strict deadlines, follow editorial guidelines II) Website and Online Content - Update website content as per requirements of various stakeholders - Create news/ event related content for the web - Write creative, unique, and relevant online content for articles, websites, blogs and other emerging formats. - Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic III) Social Media related - Create content for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Twitter etc - Create content for online forums - Write blog posts, whenever required IV) Research and related content - Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies) - Analyze information from multiple sources (Offline and Online) and use them to create original documents for a wide variety of corporate, government and academic clients - Develop grammatically correct and quality content across different verticals in different formats and structures - Preparing well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems. - Coordinate with marketing and design teams to write related articles - Writing clear marketing copy to promote our products/services. V) Follow rigour and outcome oriented processes - Filter information into clear and concise text and present content in the most engaging manner. - Creative thinker with the ability to transform technical and digital information and processes into compelling stories. - Proofread and edit content - Conduct rigorous quality checks on every piece of outbound content. - All-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone) Role Requirements Educational Qualification - Post Graduate, Bachelor's degree programs in journalism, English and other mass communication Technical Competencies - Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems - Knowledge of basic design fundamentals - A thorough knowledge of standard writing and new age writing practices is necessary - Content types include: short articles, feature length (1000+ words) articles, PR articles, editorial pieces, press releases, video scripts, Twitter/LinkedIn/Facebook updates &amp; posts, product &amp; service descriptions &amp; informational content etc Professional and Behavioural Competencies - Excellent writing, editing skills and command over English language is a must - Write content in an easy to follow manner, with an articulate and professional tone. - Write succinct, fact-filled content with an engaging, active tone - Creative and think out of the box - Experience in doing research using multiple sources - Familiarity with web publications and online media - Knowledge of Social Media is well required - Comfortable working under timelines and a goal-based approach - Ability to prioritize work and multi task at the same time. - Demonstrate rigour in work, process oriented - Work management and prioritizing skills - Problem solving ability and Attention to detail - Flexible and open to learning - Good interpersonal and Co-ordination skills - Team player - Reliability with ability to maintain confidence Experience : Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role with around 7-8 years of work experience - Portfolio of published articles
