Senior Consultant - IT Due Diligence - Mergers & Acquisition - Big4 (2-6 yrs)

The primary role of the Senior Consultant is to make direct contributions to the engagement team by assisting clients on IT organization readiness and consolidation in a deal / M&A scenario. The role will entail advising clients on operating model, driving technology led transformation programs, sourcing strategy and vendor portfolio optimization.

Senior Consultant - 2 - 6 years ( Post MBA experience )

The primary responsibilities of current role may include :

- Perform IT Due diligence in a pre / post-deal scenario (mergers, acquisition, carve-outs) including :

a. Assess the IT landscape and identify the areas of synergies / dis-synergies

b. Understand business's vision on IT transformation and evaluate areas of technical inefficiencies

c. Provide recommendations on the target IT landscape, as applicable

d. Assess the IT related opportunities and risks, develop mitigate strategy for the same

e. IT spend analysis (including vendor contract reviews for any hidden transactional costs), provide recommendations on the cost efficiencies

f. IT Benchmarking for key performance indicators leveraging the information shared in memorandums and using research databases

- IT integration support for post-deal activities :

a. Program / Integration/ Transformation management office planning and readiness

b. Day 1 / 100 Readiness planning

c. Vendor evaluation and selection

d. Bid formulation and vendor management

- Facilitate execution of the post deal integration of IT operations and organization

- Drive the development and presentation of final project deliverables

Qualifications :


- A strong and demonstrated interest in consulting specially in thinking through large and complex exercises with 2 - 6 years of relevant experience.

- Prior experience in driving client engagements and programs. Experience in dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis and managing client interactions independently.

- Experience of contributing in large technology led transformation programs.

- Competency in at least two or more of the following technical disciplines: enterprise systems implementation, IT architecture and infrastructure management, post-merger IT integration, carve-out separation, process reengineering, offshoring, and outsourcing. Prior experience in M&A is preferred.

- Past experience of service delivery through vendor management.

- Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework. MBA preferred.

- Strong advanced excel skills.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor.

- Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently.

- This role involves travel.
