Senior Consultant - Executive Compensation - Consulting Firm (7-15 yrs)

About our client and the role:

Our client, one of the global consulting firms is looking for a Senior Consultant - Executive Compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Executive Compensation Senior consultant, you will plan, design and implement Executive Compensation and incentive programs for current and new clients. You will work directly with Senior leaders and executive leadership of large firms to evaluate and develop compensation and reward strategies that facilitate achievement of business and human capital strategies. You will work under supervision of senior leaders and project manage Indian and Global projects and will act as a coach and mentor for more junior associates.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial

- Meet revenue and billable hour goals as described by manager

- Manage projects profitably

- Grow existing relationships

- Generate and support in new business development (self and as part of the broader team)

- Clients management and development

- Ensure client satisfaction

- Provide high quality consulting advice, technical content and deliverables - be a trusted advisor to the client

- Develop, maintain and grow key relationships - at CXO levels - CHRO / CFO / CEO etc.

- Is comfortable with managing clients across geographies

- Ability to identify client needs (stated and unstated) and develop solutions / proposals towards the same

- Serve as primary, daily contact to clients on delivery of services

- Has strong client communication skills - verbal and written

- Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client's broader business issues

Project Management and Excellence

- Finalize and present quality deliverables to the client - Indian and Global

- Project Manage multiple and complex engagements in a way that ensures profitable revenue, associate engagement and development and high client satisfaction

- Be conversant with industry issues and Global thought leadership on Executive compensation areas contribute towards propagating the same

- Develop diverse compensation structures, competitive base pay and incentive approaches that provide seamless delivery of global solutions for our clients

- Collaborate and contribute to the development, design and implementation of employee executive compensation programs that include total rewards strategy, competitive benchmarking, and pay analyses

- Knowledge creation and dissemination

- Contribute towards building the thought leadership on Executive compensation solutions

- Contribute towards articles, webinars and other knowledge dissemination mediums

- Has the ability to learn new concepts and implement that same in client context

People

- Be a positive role model of organizational values and contribute to building an employer of choice culture of top performing associates committed to client satisfaction, teamwork and excellence in all that is done

- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels and geographies

- Serve as mentor to project team associates

- Lead Executive Compensation engagements, developing leveraged teams that work together effectively and project plans for execution of large, global, engagements

- Demonstrate extensive leadership ability by effectively mentoring other consultants

- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

Candidate Specifications:

- In depth knowledge of structuring of Short term and long-term incentive plans including but not limited to equity-based instruments

- Strong subject-matter expertise in designing compensation plans and its impact on areas of accounting, tax, corporate finance, regulatory and valuation of LTI instruments

- Awareness of Board Governance issues

- Some experience with special equity and incentive plans for situations such as IPO's, LBO's, M&A's, divestitures and entrepreneurial starts ups will be a plus

- Excellent analytical skills

- An executive presence with polished and well developed oral and written communication skills

- Strong client relationship skills: the ability to influence senior management and the ability to work across all levels of an organization. Ability to work with both Indian and Global clients

- Demonstrated capacity to propose and win profitable new business

- Proven ability to lead and develop teams of high performing consulting professionals

- Self-driven and achievement oriented. Has the ability to work with ambiguity

- Demonstrated value for diversity, excellence and integrity in all that is done

- Excellent hold on Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word

- MBA / CA preferred

- Interest and ability to travel
