Senior Consultant - Actuarial - General Insurance

Key Requirements :

- 2.5 + years of experience in reserving, pricing, capital modeling in P&C actuarial team of an insurance or consulting company

- Experience in actuarial reserving software such as ResQ, Arius and Alteryx

- Understanding of different lines of business of general insurance

- Knowledge of local regulations for general insurance reporting

- Knowledge of Solvency II, SCR, Capital Modelling and GAAP audits for UK insurance companies will be an added advantage

- Ability to perform analysis and complete tasks, while maintaining quality of work product during time sensitive deadlines

- Strong documentation skills. Required to be adept in quickly grasping key details and summarizing them in a presentation or document.

Job purpose: (part of description)

- Reserving for complex general insurance lines of business

- Analyzing loss and premium/exposure data

- Knowledge of different lines of business

- Preparations of report to be sent to client showing results of the analysis

- Communication of results of analysis to actuaries in other geographical regions, like US, UK etc

- Risk analytics including development of analytical tools, analysis of insurance risk and general support for any risk analytics in the company

- Assisting in responding to queries and concerns

- Assist seniors in peer reviewing actuarial reports

- Ensure proper documentation and building technical specifications

- Ability to adhere strictly to project timelines, while maintaining quality of work

- Ability to effectively manage team discipline, motivation and morale

- Maintain the integrity amongst the team members

- Perform ah-hoc research and development requests as required.
