Senior Buyer - Automotive Firm

JOB TITLE : Senior Buyer

SCOPE: Chassis proprietary parts (Suspension parts, Brakes, Axles, Gear Boxes)

JOB PURPOSE:

- Handle Complex & Mature Portfolios (Design responsible suppliers, Global Segment, Complex Technology, Strategic Parts, High Value)

- Material Cost Reduction - Deliver product cost reduction thereby contributing to Company's bottom line (profitability), with no compromise on Quality.

- Project delivery - Secure delivery on all projects/platforms from the Sourcing phase to the final Serial production phase, including the full supply chain.

- Operational Performance & Efficiency - Ensure QDCF from Supplier. Manage Supplier risks for smooth operation both at Factory & Aftermarket

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reduce direct material cost (O 3.1 contribution)

- Develop products on time, deliver for builds / serial production seamlessly Secure QDCF performance & manage supplier risks

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge: Product Costing, Supplier base knowledge, Market & Competitor base knowledge, Manufacturing Process & technology knowledge

Skills: Negotiation skills, Influencing skills,

Experience/Education: Engineering Degree (minimum) + Automotive Experience
