Senior Business System Analyst - Demantra Forecasting System (3-8 yrs)

Job Description:

Develops, analyzes and models operational, economic, management, accounting and other organizational data. Recommends solutions to new and complex problems, develops innovative strategies, quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets, evaluates the potential impact of changes and reports on economic forecasts that affect the industry.

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 or more years experience

What you will do:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst role is responsible for the Demantra forecasting system maintenance and continuous improvement, data integrity, user documentation, and standard reporting. This role is the primary contact for the assigned user group(s) for system problems, reports, and documentation related to Demantra and demand forecasting. This role is also responsible for NRP tool maintenance and all SAP-integration related support for Demantra and NRP tool. The Senior Business System Analyst will partner with the Forecast Modeler, Demand Planners, IS and IBP teams to drive an effective demand planning process.


The Senior Business Systems Analyst will resolve issues directly where possible or work with IS to resolve problems if issues extend beyond the scope of Demantra (Oracle, GIM, Encompass, etc.). All documentations related to Demantra, demand forecast reporting, or user forecasting processes will be maintained by the Senior Business Systems Analyst .The Senior Business Systems Analysts will partner with each other to ensure documentation is used globally to enable process stability, SOX compliance, and for user training purposes.

Responsibilities:

Demantra and NRP Systems Administration:

- Create and deploy a strategy for system administration; document system administration in business process maps, all in accordance with Demand Planning leadership

- Establish and continuously improve the fundamental processes: run book, data feed process, system issue solution process and ownership transition process etc. Drive automatic notification and end to end process transparency.

- Ensure data integrity and act as lead contact for system issues and escalation

- Obtain and document the necessary approvals for any changes to the system design or data requirements

- Coordinate, plan and communicate routine user system maintenance: add/delete/change records, realignments, maintenance, descriptions, etc.

- Plan and execute periodic system upgrades, patches, realignments or data changes with IT and the user group

- Create and deploy the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the assigned user group(s), ensuring backup and disaster recovery

- Develop strategy to control system security

- Responsible for creation of approved system enhancement requirements documentation, testing and execution with IS team

Project management:

- Collaborate with IS, business and other functions for all SAP project related support for Demantra and NRP tool

- Lead and support multifunctional projects between FC, IBP, IS and global demand planning team for extended Demantra usability and new business integration

Analysis and Reporting:

- Recommend and build the capability of tools and technologies for reporting purpose

- Develop GDP dashboard for key metrics and maintain the regular communication with main stakeholders: the global demand planning, IBP, supply planning etc.

- Work with IS support teams to create and communicate key metrics for system performance to drive process optimization and better transparency

- Create, maintain and socialize/train process for requesting new reports or changes to existing reports

- Organize requests for new/changed reporting in a queue, inclusive of effort estimates, and manage that queue prioritization and action as determined by Demand Planning leadership

- Obtain report specifications from requestors and then design/create new reports as authorized by the Demand Planning leadership

Demand Planning System Documentation:

- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation for Demantra BSA related topics

- Ensure that all approved changes to system processes or models are updated in the documentation

- Document all system or reporting approval processes

- Create user-friendly "how does it work" system documentation to use for training purposes and provide the training to the users

What you Need:

EXPERIENCE :

- At least 4 years of business experience in Supply Chain Management, System Administration or related fields are required.

- 3+ years' experience in general IT processes and data management

- 3+ years' experience in demand forecasting data and processes

- Knowledge or prior experience with forecasting/demand planning software, Oracle Demantra strongly preferred.

- Experience working across teams in a matrix organization is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent, demonstrated quantitative and organizational skills

- Ability to work with others to define reporting requirements

- Demonstrated ability for creating effective reports for others

- Ability for decision making, to work under time pressure, accuracy, prioritization and capacity to make good judgment on special situations.

AVAILABILITY:

- Available to travel and available to provide on-call support after working hours.

Education/Special Training Required:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.

- Must have general knowledge of business forecasting processes in Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Field Sales organizations.

- Oracle Demantra training strongly preferred.

- Report writing skills, use of report writing tools (Cognos, Crystal Reports, etc.) preferred

- Fluency in English. Fluency in a second language at international divisions is a plus.
