About The Opportunity:
We are building global market adoption for next-generation quantum hardware and sovereign quantum data-center deployments.
This role sits at the intersection of strategic business development, government engagement, and complex systems salestargeting high-value hardware programs and multi-year national technology initiatives across the US, EU, APAC and Middle East.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the global go-to-market strategy for superconducting quantum processors and sovereign quantum data-center offerings, prioritising target markets and use-cases.
- Build, manage and accelerate a global pipeline of multimillion-dollar hardware opportunities; own qualification, forecasting and hand-off to sales/implementation teams.
- Own end-to-end large procurement cycles (RFP/RFQ): deal shaping, commercial strategy, pricing, contracting and negotiation to closure.
- Develop and maintain direct relationships with ministries, national labs, defense agencies, HPC centers, hyperscalers and systems integrators to secure strategic programs.
- Structure installation, multi-year service, maintenance and upgrade agreements while ensuring compliance with export-control and tech-transfer requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal and delivery teams to align technical proposals, capture market intelligence and deliver against pipeline/KPI targets.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- 20+ years of senior BD leadership in HPC, semiconductor, advanced hardware or instrumentation sales with proven success on high-value hardware deals and national programs.
- Deep experience managing RFP/RFQ processes and complex procurement cycles for government, defense and large enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated track record structuring multimillion-dollar hardware contracts, long-term service agreements and multi-stakeholder programs.
- Working knowledge of export-control, technology-transfer and compliance frameworks impacting cross-border hardware deployments.
- Established network across HPC centers, national labs, government agencies, defense procurement offices and C-level stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CRM-driven BD processes and analytics (Salesforce or equivalent) to run pipeline and opportunity management.
Preferred:
- Proven experience building hyperscaler or systems-integrator partnerships for large-scale infrastructure deployments.
- Prior success building country-level consortiums or sovereign deployment models for strategic technologies.
- Technical familiarity with superconducting quantum processors, quantum control stacks or quantum data-center architectures.
