Senior Brand Manager - Food Division - IIM/FMS/ISB/IIFT/TISS/SIBM (8-10 yrs)

India's fastest growing multi business conglomerate urgently requires Senior Brand Managers,for their Foods Division. The role will be operating from Bangalore. The incumbent is expected to have a minimum of 8-10 years of work experience preferably in the FMCG sector out of which at least 4-5 years of experience in brand management.

Candidates from Premier B-schools( 2005, 2006,2007 batches) who has good exposure to FMCG segment is preferred.

Key Accountabilities:

Category Business Planning:

- Review last year's category performance; Identify key trends/ strategic shifts based on analysis of industry, competition and past performance by product / SKU/ geography etc.; Formulate proactive strategies on aspects like marketing mix, new variants, launch markets etc.

Brand Planning:

- Provide broad direction on brand plan development based on category business plan requirements; Define key brand objectives for each of the brands; Analyse competition for each brand/ sub brand; Identify brand initiatives (target markets/ group, products, media initiatives etc.) based on growth prospects and gaps in current portfolio

New Product/ Product Extension Planning, Development and Launch:

- Review new product brief (market size, competition, flavours, gram ages, differentiation etc.) prepared by team; Participate in internal evaluation and testing of product options developed by PD team; Review and finalize market research protocols (concept and design) across areas like product, packaging, communication etc.; Review market research results like CPT, pack test, concept test, communication test etc.

Brand Communication, Development and Execution:

- Provide inputs and sign-off on communication brief to agency based on brand architecture (consumer/ product attributes, differentiation, competition etc.); Review and shortlist concept/scripts/ route options prepared by agency; Review results of concept tests with customer against defined action standards.

Packaging Graphics and Format Development (Domestic Market):

- Review packaging brief (graphics) for alignment with brand objectives; Review approaches/routes proposed by agency based on market scan; Shortlist and finalize graphics design for consumer testing

Trade Promotion (Domestic Market):

- Allocate trade promotions budget portfolio wise and region wise on periodic/project basis; Review final trade promotions plan and specific trade promotions in certain critical cases.

Consumer Promotions (Domestic Market):

- Review and finalize consumer promotion objectives/plan (e.g. increase in number of consumers, increase in frequency of purchase, increase in volume per purchase); Define consumer promotion concepts jointly with brand team; Approve final consumer promotion concept

Brand Plan Review:

- Design the brand review metrics and process; Review actual vs. plan for each brand; Analyze results and highlight key learning's; Provide inputs for action plan based on learnings.

Market Research Conceptualization and Execution:

- In case of tactical research tests, review the market research brief created by MR team; In case of exploratory research, provide research requirements to MR team.

Market Research Findings Implementation:

- Participate in research findings presentation; Analyze market research report; Discuss and finalize action plan with various teams brand/ PD/ packaging development etc.

Demand Planning:

- Review the input plan for demand planning; Coordinate for alignment of demand plan with TMD sales forecast and input plan; Liaison with manufacturing, procurement, sales team for plan execution.
