Senior Associate/Assistant Vice President - Indirect Tax - GST & Litigation Segment - Legal Services Firm

- We are hiring for Sr. Associate/AVP for our client in Legal Services.

Job Responsibilities :

- Should have the experience to work in/ handle GST matters exclusively, Work involves handling clients and a team of 3-4 associates internally for drafting of reply (ies) to notices, preparations of appeal (s), and writ petitions under GST law and similar issues.

Client Consultation and Advisory :

- Provide comprehensive advisory services to clients on GST implications for their business operations, transactions, and compliance requirements.

- Analyze client business models to identify GST risks, opportunities, and potential areas for optimization.

- Offer strategic advice on GST planning, structuring, and compliance strategies tailored to client needs.

GST Compliance Management :

- Oversee GST compliance activities, including registration, filing of returns, payment of taxes, and maintenance of records.

- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of client GST compliance processes to identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues.

- Stay updated on changes in GST laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure clients remain compliant.

GST Litigation Support :

- Conduct thorough research, analysis, and preparation of legal arguments and documentation to support client cases effectively.

- Assist in representing clients in GST-related disputes, assessments, and litigation proceedings before tax authorities, appellate tribunals, and courts.

Client Relationship Management :

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives, and delivering value-added services.

- Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally, building trust and confidence in the firm's services.

Team Collaboration and Leadership :

- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including legal professionals, tax experts, and support staff, to deliver integrated client solutions.

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
