Senior Associate/Assistant Manager - Risk/Operational Permanent Control

We are looking for candidate to assist the OPC team in advising business lines on Operational Risk Management, promoting best practices, contributing to the implementation of an efficient internal control framework, and supporting business development initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory governance. The OPC Officer will be involved in the following three permanent control areas:

1. Protection:

- Enhance end-to-end control setup through the identification, investigation, and analysis of operational risk incidents.

- Assist in defining risk mitigation actions and coordinating global remediation plans.

- Lead the business unit in responding to, following up, and closing internal or external recommendations.

- Establish, maintain, and improve the front office control plan.

2. Prevention / Risk Assessment:

- Develop and manage operational risk monitoring measures and reporting, including Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Risk Control Self- Assessment (RCSA) for conduct risk.

- Contribute to streamlining, cleaning, and improving the efficiency of controls while minimizing risks.

- Conduct training and awareness sessions to foster a risk mitigation culture.

3. Supervision

- Validation Process: Coordinate the internal validation of exceptional transactions, new activities, proprietary custom indices, or automated trading strategies; provide advice to the front office and functions on operational risk assessment throughout the validation process. Ensure adherence to relevant policies and proper implementation of action points.

- Coordinate and contribute to internal control governance forums and provide advice on operational risk governance.

- Additionally, the GM OPC Officer will support the onshore team with report production, database management, incident investigation, RCSA, and TACNAC.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

- Extensive experience in Capital Market activities.

- Previous experience in a regulation-focused control team is highly advantageous.

- International work experience is beneficial for interaction with other regions.

- Proven project management experience with globally dispersed teams.

- Strong understanding of trading activities and front-to-back processes.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

- Prior experience in operational risk management or a similar function.

- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.

- Ability to form and articulate well-informed positions through structured thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization.

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Specific Qualifications:

- Solid knowledge of trading activities and supporting processes.

- Strong project management experience with global teams.

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

- Previous experience in operational risk management or a similar role.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
