Title : Senior Analytics Fellow - Advanced Analytics, Panorama Financial Institutions and Insights consulting (PFIC).

Who You- ll Work With

You will work in our India Knowledge Center in Gurgaon, as a part of the Advanced Analytics team within the PFIC

PFIC is one of the largest knowledge and analytics teams globally and part of the FIG practice, with 200 members and a global footprint across 20+ countries, focusing on financial services domains, e.g., Retail banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Fintech and Insurance.

What You'll Do : 

- Your work will be focused on improving performance of financial institutions with a combination of advanced analytics, tool-development capabilities and process/ change management expertise.

- Senior analysts are creative problem solvers who love all things data. They spend their spare time thinking of new ways to collect, blend, model, and cluster dramatically different data types including unstructured data like voice and video data to find interesting and useful analysis. New modelling challenges get them out of bed every morning. For you it's not just about the data itself, but what the information means and represents.

Specifically, we would like you to focus on the following elements:

Client deployment: You will be involved in specific engagements for large part of the year working at client site or McKinsey offices involving building of new, bespoke advanced analytical models and solutions for clients (in this role, they could be integrated in a broader McKinsey engagement team).

Proprietary knowledge and new Product development: 


- You will be expected to participate in the definition of new product roadmap and manage the development of the product

Product ownership: 


- You will own the analytics solution methodology and IP, facilitating the implementation of the use-case at client organization including documentation of the code

Internal training: 


- You will be expected to ensure that the McKinsey staff involved in client-service delivery are trained and certified to use or implement the solution.

Your Background : 

- Master's or Doctorate degree (in Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, MBA in Operations Management) with a strong quantitative underpinning, from a respected institution (e.g. IITs, NIT's, ISI, MDI etc.) with an excellent academic record.

- Proven performer with at least 3-6 years of advanced analytics experience including machine learning (predictive modelling techniques)

- Understanding of the analytics and corresponding compatible data needs; knowledge of the banking industry would be preferred;

- Experience and well versed in doing multivariate predictive modelling, machine learning and in analytics software such as R (must have) and good knowledge of SAS, SQL and Python would be preferred.

- Strategic and creative thinkers

- Very strong problem-solving skills, and quantitative / analytical thinking capabilities

- Excellent communication skills. able to grasp and communicate complex ideas clearly

- Willing to travel and work across McKinsey or client locations globally

- Proven leaders with the ability in inspire others, build strong relationships, and create a true followership, result-driven achievers

- Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment

- Collaborative team players, capable of working well with others but also autonomously with little direction

- Comfort with ambiguous and unstructured situations and fast changing situations, entrepreneurial

- Capable of carrying out multiple tasks or projects in parallel
