- The role involves working as a dedicated resource role in opportunistic credit space for a leading global private equity firm

- The role entails supporting them across the lifecycle of an investment - right from pre-deal analysis, financial due diligence, to cash flow modelling and ongoing valuation and asset management support

- The candidate will be in close communication with the client and work alongside them as an extension of their team

- Work with the client in supporting them on various investment transactions across various alternate asset classes - loan portfolios (performing and non-performing), structured credit products, specialty financing and real estate

- Build and analyse financial models for valuation of credit portfolios for various geographies

- Prepare deal memos to be presented to the client investment committee

- Provide support for portfolio performance analysis, financial due diligence, and post-deal transaction asset management

- Analyse and help explain historical and projected financial information/cashflows

- Assess market or asset trends and provide quantitative data to clients

- Present the analysis or financial model to client/third parties on calls

- Review and extract relevant data from information memoranda, presentations and other reports as required

- Preparing bespoke credit analysis notes, including peer comparison, bond issuances and related spreads and applying relative valuation methodologies

- Strong fundamental understanding of valuation methodologies and core financial concepts, especially related to fixed income

- Broad understanding of credit and structured finance investments landscape is a plus

- In-depth understanding of valuations and other core financial concepts

- High level of proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel

- Extreme attention to detail and a logical thought process to analyse large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal

- Prior experience/internship with Investment Bank, Investment Management firm or Financial Advisory firm

- Professional certification such as CFA/FRM are highly preferred
