1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Senior Advisor- HR, Jhpiego, New Delhi

In India, Jhpiego works across various states, in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. Its programs are funded by USAID, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, UNICEF, World Health Organization, University of Manitoba, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and MSD for Mothers, amongst others.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

- With a current head count of more than 500 staff, pan-India, Jhpiego looking to hire a Senior Advisor-HR (SAHR).


- Reporting to the Director-HR, the post-holder shall be responsible for administering the employee life cycle from hiring to separation, focusing on HR operations and transactional issues.


- S/he shall also steer and support OD initiatives, in the areas of staff engagement and culture building and support ongoing L&D programmes.


- The position requires a seasoned HR professional with the ability to independently manage HR Operations and ably support change management interventions.

Key Deliverables:

(1) Oversee, refine and execute employee standard operating procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes;

(2) Oversee recruitment efforts by guiding the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of managerial and professional roles; collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for vacant positions;

(3) Negotiate and administer salary offer as per Jhpiego compensation structure;

(4) Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs including compensation, health insurance, life insurance, NPS, leaves and other benefits;

(5) Manage HRMIS by maintaining employee data from joining until separation;

(6) Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees;

(7) Payroll administration including timesheets and leaves administration, verification of payroll and database management;

(8) Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance; Ensure periodical compliances related to PF, ESIC, Labor Welfare Fund and HR Audits;

(9) Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources;

(10) Build strong relationships with external and internal partners, fostering trust and promoting collaboration;

(11) Address employee queries related to Jhpiego employment policies;

(12) Manage Performance Appraisal System by guiding staff in completing appraisals and addressing related queries; coordinate for timely submission; Manage annual increase process including salary computation; preparation of salary increase letters; collate and maintain data;

(13) Handle confidential matters with discretion including disciplinary actions and investigations;

(14) Facilitating automation, process implementation and process improvement;

(15) Responsible to oversee administration of staff database management;

(16) Administer employee separation by coordinating with various departments to ensure timely settlement of full and final dues;

(17) Apart from HR Operations, actively support and facilitate all OD, change management and L&D initiatives undertaken by the HR Department;

(18) Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification and Experience:

(1) Masters in HR or related field with 10-15 years of experience;

(2) Prior experience of participating in and supporting OD and change management initiatives, in the areas of staff engagement and culture building shall be an advantage;

(3) Experience of participating in and/or anchoring L&D initiatives, is desirable;

(4) Excellent networking and relationship-building skills and the ability to recognize, inspire and connect with best-in-class talent;

(5) Familiarity with the development sector will be preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Orientation to detail and accuracy;

(2) Detail-oriented and ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques;

(3) Proficiency in MS Office especially in advance Excel and PowerPoint;

(4) Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks under strict timelines;

(5) Ability to maintain confidentiality;

(6) Good interpersonal and team management skills;

(7) Demonstrated punctuality and discipline;

(8) Good written and oral communication skills in English;

(9) Ability to work in a multicultural work environment.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

CTC budgeted for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
