Senior Accountant - NGO (3-7 yrs)
Job brief
We are looking for a responsible Senior Accountant to carry out general accounting functions. A successful Senior accountant combines accuracy with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, tax and statutory obligations to prepare financial reports and forecasts.
Responsibilities
1. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
2. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
3. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
4. Cash management
5. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
6. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
7. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
8. Assist with tax audits and tax returns
9. Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
10. Support month-end and year-end close process
11. GST, TDS and other statutory compliances
12. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Requirements
1. Two to three years of work experience as an accountant in a large NGO, a MNC or a leading service organisation
2. Extremely proficient in Tally and MS Office
3. Chartered Accountant (an inter CA with quality work experience may also be considered)
Remuneration will be as per best in the industry and will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
