Senior Accountant - BFSI

Responsibilities :

- Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to booking, reconciling, and reporting financial activity.

- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries including fixed assets, payroll, reserve adjustments, prepaids and deposits

- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.

- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

- Ensure all financial closing and reporting deadlines that have been assigned are met.

- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.

- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

- Support the implementation of a new ERP system

- Assist with preparing PBC list for year-end audits.

- Assist in annual budget preparation and re-projections throughout the year.

- Maintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records, electronically and hardcopies, as necessary.

- Identify areas for process improvement and streamlining.

- Research technical accounting matters.

- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.

- Other Ad Hoc functions.

Qualification and Skills :

- Undergraduate/P.G degree in accounting required

- 5 years practical accounting experience

- Mix of public audit and private experience a plus

- Knowledge of Tally Solutions/any other Accounting Software would be added advantage

- Experienced with month end close and journal entry process

- Strong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/control background

- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Advanced knowledge of excel (formulas & macros)
