Senior Accountant - BFSI (2-7 yrs)
Preferred Formal Education/Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or related discipline
Mandatory Formal Education/Qualifications e.g. CPA :
- Post Graduate qualifications in CPA/CA
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years- experience accounting in a fast paced environment
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities/Technology Used:
- Experience using SAP finance S4Hana an advantage
- Demonstrated competence in disciplines of accounting principles and numeracy skills
- Working knowledge of accounting process, accounting standards, financial and KPI reporting
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and commentate on reporting to guide decision making
- Ability to challenge and influence decisions and decision making
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate a small team
Position Scope :
- Manage the accounting and month end reporting, for areas of responsibility, in line with timetable requirements
- Complete, support and review relevant balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Support the preparation of half year and year end results and audit process
- Ensure the observance and application of corporate governance within Target with all financial decisions
- Continuous development and improvement of financial accounting processes and procedures
