Security Manager - Logistics Firm

Job Details :

Purpose :

- Lead the Security Function for the region and drive the implementation of all safety and security related protocols and systems. Ensure physical safety of all shipments and facilities of Blue Dart in the region

Key Responsibilities :

- Support the Head - Security in formulating the safety and security strategy for the organization

- Support the Head - Security in developing policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and protocols for security management

- Keep updated with competitor practices and new developments with respect to security systems, security methodologies, etc.; Evaluate the feasibility of implementation of the same within the region and provide inputs to the Head - Security and Senior Management on the same

- Ensure adherence to the security budget determined for the region

- Drive cost analysis for various security-related activities carried out in the region and provide highlights to the Senior Management regarding the same

- Drive efforts towards a reduction in costs for the organization caused due to damage, pilferage, theft, loss of shipment cases

- Implement and drive adherence to all policies, procedures and guidelines to be followed with respect to security and safety of shipments, physical security and employee safety at all the facilities of Blue Dart in the region

- Monitor and ensure the physical safety and security of all shipments, in terms of control over a number of damaged shipments, missing/ pilfered shipments, theft cases in the region, etc.

- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure timely closure of investigation cases (related to loss, damage, pilferage, theft of shipments and misuse of credit card cases)
