Key Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Improving Engineering and Delivery Excellence through adoption of Agile (Scrum) methodology
- Increase transparency and awareness across stakeholders on team's Agile transformation journey and key achievements
Operational:
- Establish a roadmap for Agile transformation of the respective team(s) using the Scrum Framework
- Collaborate with Agile Coach to train and ready the product team to adopt Scrum
- Lead team through Forming, Storming, Norming to Performing using Scrum to achieve higher levels of Agile maturity
- Help Product Managers find techniques for effective Product Backlog management
- Establish and ready a Product Engineering team/unit to be self-sufficient
- Help the Product Engineering team in story sizing, splitting and estimations
- Establish and own all Sprint ceremonies to ensure a positive, productive team environment, that delivers on the Sprint promise
- Help team embrace and exhibit Agile principles and values
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles or impediments for the team
- Coach the teams in self-management and cross-functionality
- Monitor and analyse Sprint reports, burndown, velocity, and drive improvements
Educational Qualification - Bachelors in Engineering or MCA/MBA
Previous Experience:
- 7-10 years of IT experience with at least 2-3 years as a Scrum Master, having gone through some aspects of the Agile Transformation journey
Industry to be hired from :
- IT Industry (Product Organizations preferred)
Skills & Knowledge required/Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, influence and general leadership skills to guide, mentor and motivate the team in an environment of trust and fun.
- Expertise in Scrum (certification preferred) to guide teams on Agile transformation journey, to own and deliver on strategic imperatives with quality.
- Unambiguous written, oral and aural communication with demonstrated ability to arbitrate differing opinions and influence across boundaries to unblock team.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
