We have this opportunity with one of the leading MNC Food company for the position of Scientist in food care

Preferred candidates :

- Candidate should have minimum 12 to 15 years of work experience,

- Should have experience of food products.

- Should have completed in Phd in food technology.

- Should have knowledge about developing packaging solutions for Indian foods and basic understanding of food.

- Preferred from : Dairy (cheese,paneer,ice cream etc),Frozen foods(meat,vegetables,snacks),Snacks

Job Responsibility :

- Provide Marketing and Sales with customer support. Carry out application test on respective equipment at both company and customer sites. Providing training and documentation in respect of new products being launched, helping support programs to win new and retain current business, address customer queries and helping resolve customer problems in the field and benchmark and understand competitor capabilities and product claims.

- Innovate to produce new products and upgrade / modify current market products. Designing and carrying out testing in laboratory and at customer sites using standardized procedures and/or as needed creating new test methods and procedures.

- Document results, interpret data, draw conclusions and determine next actions. Producing high quality written and oral reporting. Seek opportunities to protect products intellectual property through patenting.

- Work with line manager and project team (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain) colleagues to define and agree the project brief and agree and execute the work program. Working consistently to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

- Work with Supply Chain to support the commercialization of new / modified formulations, ensure products remain legally compliant and aligned with regulatory changes. Ensure formulations are cost competitive and where possible raw materials can be sourced competitively and product yields and quality are consistently high.

Job Summary :

- The individual in this position demonstrates a good understanding of the basic principles and applications in their area of expertise.

The individual must :

- Take responsibility for their own projects, being pro-active and working with minimum day to day supervision.

- Apply and interpret standard scientific theories, concepts and techniques. Determine their own approach to problems and devise creative solutions. Plan and performs laboratory assignments, customer trials, tests and assembles experimental apparatus, and operates various machines and testing equipment in evaluation of products.

- Record experimental data, makes calculations, interpret results and verbally report and/or produce high quality written reports to presents data and outcomes of their work program.

- Regularly communicate progress of, and requirements to complete assigned work with their manager and project teams.

- Lead assigned project tasks, having significant delegated responsibility within the team on project delivery, but not full independence from management involvement.

- May supervise work of contractors or technicians.
