SBU Head - B2B Business - Chemicals/Pharma (15-25 yrs)

Our client is in the B2B business in chemicals and pharmaceuticals and is involved in manufacturing and marketing of innovative and novel bioactive natural agents, with cutting edge technology. Our client supplies its innovative products to leading pharmaceutical companies in India as an ingredient in the final dosage form.

Known for the innovative product range, our client always has launched a novel and well-differentiated products that are used in the final formulations by leading pharmaceutical companies of India.

Our client has a considerable presence in Probiotics, a well-researched and extensively documented therapy agent. Our client has a range of probitoics launched for the first time in India and many are in the pipeline to be launched, with the never imagined convenience of dosage, storage and administration.

Our client seeks SBU Head to strengthen its presence as the most innovative maker of probiotic agents.

SBU Head shall be responsible for -

1. As a head of Business, the individual is responsible for driving top line and the bottom line of the business. This position owns P&L

2. Strengthening the current client base and add new clients

3. Since the products are novel and first time in India, the incumbent is supposed to be technically strong with superb communication skills - technical or otherwise

4. Building B2B bands through various on the ground and off ground marketing and communication initiatives

5. Understanding the regulatory environment for manufacturing and promotion

6. Managing in inventories and the distribution channel for delivery of orders.

7. Ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing plant in terms of production, quality control and assurance, maintaining the production standards and various quality certifications along with utilizing the manufacturing capacity

8. Managing a team and being a leader providing inclusive growth opportunity to the team

9. Tracking competition in terms of new launches, pricing and promotion

10. Building a high performing team and creating a culture of performance

11. Scanning and evaluating new product opportunities across the globe

12. Negotiations and finalization of contracts with new partners around the world.

This position reports to the Directors.

Location - Mumbai

Experience - We are looking for a Techno-Commercial business head. Incumbent must have hands of experience of 20 plus years in B2B business serving pharmaceuticals and food industries. Must be at leadership role for the last 3 years. Must have managed teams.

Education - Graduation / Post Graduation in Pharmacy or Chemistry. Management qualification preferred.

The team includes - Head of Manufacturing, Head of Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Medico- Marketing and Regulatory
