Job description:

The incumbent will advise enterprises on research prioritization, protection of research results and transfer of IP assets through structured value based bailment contracts. Functions include valuation of IP assets and other intangibles for intra-corporate acquisitions and mapping of innovation advancements within client organizations for potential bailment opportunities.

Detailed role, inter-alia, include

1. Advisory engagement in review of patentability of innovations and strategic analysis of potential world-wide deployment potential.

2. Valuation of Innovations in the context of spin-outs/acquisitions/bailment contracts and asset monetization

3. Development of Institutional/Corporate Innovation and IP Policy

4. Advisory services relating to research prioritization/research results review for optimal research to markets strategy development

5. Cross-border corporate - corporate and public-private enterprise transactions advisory

6. Engagement in buy-side and sell-side of IP assets

Key Skills:

- Intensive exposure to world-wide patent regime and patent prosecution experience

- More than 7 yrs. of exposure in Corporate IP / Public research IP exposure, a part of it with corporate exposure

- Advanced degree in Biological/ Chemical science/ technology

- Business degree is an added qualification

- Thorough knowledge of Intellectual property framework and technology transfer practice exposure

- Experience with financial modelling

- Excellent leadership skills and spirit to engage in inter-disciplinary team based client assignments

- Excellent analytical skills and working level exposure to EXCEL and other analytical / MIS tools

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
