SAS Modeler - Banking

Key competencies:

- Problem solving skills - Strong problem-solving skills to translate business requirements of clients into analytics problem and design analytics solutions with measurable and actionable outcomes

- Technical and domain expertise- Expertise in SAS, SQL & data Analytics experience in Financial Services and Banking

- Execution excellence - Ensure regular client touchpoints, work along-side multiple business stakeholders, end-to-end project execution, maintain proper documentation, ensure risk mitigation, ability to understand multiple and large data sources and ensure tracking of execution & success metrics is done effectively & efficiently

Job Responsibilities:

- Interface with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical problems that can be addressed using analytical techniques

- Excellent in problem-solving skills and able to work on open ended problems

- Co-ordinate with multiple Business teams, conceptualize and develop analytics solutions, communicate with senior management, gain approvals and deliver clean implementation on time

- Deliver with limited direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based solutions and insights for clients

- Ability to develop models & recommend insights, perform hypothesis testing, Campaign measurement, Segmentation models

- Articulate and document project requirements and client meetings

- Communicate project results in the client's business context

- Seek client feedback after each delivery and learn and apply insights on subsequent projects

- Support business development teams in preparing client pitches

Experience:

Must Have :

- Proficiency in SAS, SQL & Data Analytics

- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Analytics with experience in Financial Services and Banking

- Experience of working with large and multiple datasets / data warehouses

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate client outputs

Good to Have :

- Experience in Python or R programming language

- Understanding or experience of implementing solutions based on - Segmentation models, Product Optimisation, Marketing Analytics, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Analytics, Payments, Card Industry, Campaign Analytics, Pricing Analytics, Portfolio Analytics, Profitability Models

Education : Post Graduate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Science, Engineering, Statistics
