SAS Consultant - BFSI Domain (4-8 yrs)
Analysts with knowledge of SAS tool and related processes are expected to
- Understand the business problems and translate them into analytical solutions
- Apply statistical techniques and methodologies to develop solutions
- Lead and execute the data extraction, preparation and analysis steps
- Interact with internal customers as well as clients to execute processes
- Strong analytical, presentation & persuasive abilities with excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should have the below credentials:
- Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/ Mathematics Allied fields/ Computer Science/ Economics / Engineering from a reputed institution.
- High Quality PhD Candidates would be given preference
- 4-8 years of statistical analysis/ programming experience on large datasets preferably in BFSI/Government/ Taxation.
- Prior Experience of Delivering High Value engagements in structured delivery environment would be a significant requirement.
- Proficiency in using SAS 9.2 or above including SAS Base and SAS EG. Knowledge of SAS E-miner or other tool stacks would be an advantage
- Application level Exposure to most or at least some of the key techniques of Statistical/ Predictive Modeling- Logistic Regression, Response Models, Bayesian Methods, Time Series Forecasting, Panel Regression
- Application of R/ Python/ Big Data Environment in live projects would be a significant plus
- Working knowledge of SQL and popular relational databases is expected
- Self-motivated and able to sustain himself/herself without direct supervision
- Strong analytical, presentation & persuasive abilities with excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
