Brief:
Samsung is looking for a dynamic External Communications Manager to work in one of the biggest R&D centre of Samsung outside Korea, Samsung R&D Bangalore (SRI-B). We are looking for a committed professional who has hands-on experience and is passionate to understand the org narratives and translate them into interesting stories.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external stakeholders across businesses to formulate a PR strategy and seek high-level placements on different platforms.
- Stay on top of industry trends, competition, and other allied news to formulate and prune strategy.
- Drive visibility for the organisation to the right audience, with focus on Social media.
- Coordinate all public relations activities while aligning with the regional headquarters
- Develop content independently for awards, keynote presentations, social media handles.
- Drive proactive storytelling and handle written communication to the media, Q&A, Interviews, Press releases, holding statements, thought leadership articles, etc.
- Drive Employee engagement and CSR related communications - develop the messaging, script for videos, and support all companywide initiatives
- Working with executives, product, engineering, and content teams to build innovative and thought leadership PR stories.
- Partnering with HR leads to support employer branding efforts.
- Tracking PR impact and visibility index.
- Manage Events - both internal and external as required
Requirements
- 7 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong persuasive communications and good at stakeholder management.
- Proven track record developing and executing successful public relations campaigns and events at both a local and national level.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Experience with social media management for master/corporate brands, including blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
- BA/MA degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline
- Preferably someone who has agency experience (or) Journalism background (or) IT/ Tech background.
- Ability to translate technical information into consumer stories.
- Can work with multiple stakeholders and manage project timelines.
