Saint Gobain - Team Member - Purchase

Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely availability of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies (MRO), that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company, upon receipt of properly authorized requisitions from users or other authorized employees.

- Obtain the best offers from the various suppliers available and obtain the best offer within time constraints of the requirements through negotiation with suppliers.

- Monitor and control purchase order release to enable timely issue of POs to vendors and works closely with Finance teams to expedite receiving and AP processes

- Plan transport and delivery of supplies to ensure timely availability of MRO

- Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational qualification: Engineering Graduate with good academic records. Post-graduation in purchasing management preferred

Essential Experience: 2-4 years in the Procurement and Procurement Intelligence

Specific Skills / Personal Attributes:

- He/She should have knowledge on vendor selection criteria and knowledge of technical as well as commercial specification

- Ability to independently conclude high value negotiation

- Ability to deal with suppliers & ensure that SG gets the best commercial terms and quality of supplies and service

- Ability to understand the cost, study market changes/currency variation/commodity impacts/assertive nature

- Knowledge on commodity markets and price trends, various grades, qualities and varieties of materials, supplies and equipment

- Knowledge of GST,WCT(Work contract tax), Labour law
