Saint Gobain - Team Member - Purchase

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for supporting plant by coordinating purchase of raw materials

- Procure quality material within stipulated time period after due negotiation

- Liaison with transporters and geologists for continuous supply of raw materials from mines

- Liaison all Service PR with Vendor for all documentation.

- Evaluate vendors at pre-defined frequency and assist in maintenance of purchase procedure and policies

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational qualification: B.E. (Mechanical/Electrical/ Production)

Essential Experience: 3-5 years in the Purchasing function of a large size manufacturing facility. Industries preferred: Capital Goods/ Chemicals / Paints /Cement /Steel (All Tier 1 or Tier 2 companies)/Process Industries

Specific Skills / Personal Attributes:

- Knowledge on commodity markets and price trends, various grades, qualities and varieties of materials, supplies and equipment

- He/She should have knowledge on vendor selection criteria and knowledge of technical as well as commercial specification

- Ability to deal with suppliers & ensure that SG gets the best commercial terms and quality of supplies and service

- Ability to independently conclude high value negotiation

- Knowledge of GST,WCT(Work contract tax), Labour law
